COVID-19 immune memory T cells

This is a new finding of Australian researchers.

The researchers monitored the reactions of T cells in 21 people who had recovered from COVID-19 in 15 months as well as in 9 people who had been vaccinated but were not infected for 9 months. The results showed that the T cells still detected the virus in a completely stable way over time.

Vaccination against COVID-19 can increase the level of T-cell responses by more than 30 times compared to pre-injection. Even after 1 year, the T cells were still 10 times more reactive than those who had never been exposed to the mutant protein due to infection or vaccination.
