Specifically, the draw schedule for men’s and women’s football at the 31st SEA Games is set on April 6 in Hanoi.

For men’s football, there are 10 U23 football teams from Southeast Asian countries (except Brunei) that will attend the 31st SEA Games.

Team U23 Vietnam and U23 Thailand are seeded, meaning they will not be in the same group. Specifically, group 1: Thailand – Vietnam; group 2: Indonesia – Malaysia; group 3: Myanmar – Cambodia; group 4: Philippines – Singapore; group 5: Laos – Timor Leste.

The teams will be divided into 2 groups. The home team Vietnam with code A1 plays the opening match, Thailand code B1. The remaining groups will be drawn into two groups. The teams in each group will compete in a round robin for ranking points.

The 31st SEA Games men’s football will be played at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) Group A and Thien Truong Stadium (Nam Dinh) Group B. The final and third place match will take place at My Dinh National Stadium. .

With women’s football, based on the achievements of the last two SEA Games, the Vietnamese women’s and Thai women’s teams are also seeded. The home team Vietnam with code A1 plays the opening match, Thailand code B1. The remaining teams will be drawn into 2 groups.
