Haven’t seen a special attraction

Having just appeared in our country about 10 years ago, resort real estate projects are playing an important role in attracting and developing local tourism.

According to statistics, now along the coasts from the North to the South of every province, there are billion-dollar resort real estate projects. Not stopping there, after decades of affirming the position and role of projects in tourism development, the race to pour money into resort real estate projects recently has become more and more intense. with projects ranging from hundreds to thousands of hectares.

Around the development of resort real estate projects over the past time, discussed at the Workshop: “The attraction to bring Quy Nhon to sublimation into Asia’s new destination”, held on the afternoon of March 24, Prof. . Dang Hung Vo, former Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, said that in the past time, the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic has caused the tourism industry to be “compressed”. Even before the epidemic, tourism real estate was “hurt” due to the overlapping and conflict of legal regulations.

Given the problem with the central provinces, if resort tourism is not developed, what development is appropriate, Prof. Dang Hung Vo said that, except for Da Nang and Nha Trang, which are places where France has chosen and invested in tourism infrastructure for a long time, other areas of the Central region can be said to have nothing.

Mr. Vo said that in these localities, for a long time, we focused on developing heavy industry in Nghi Son, Bac Nghe, Binh Son, Chu Lai, Nhon Hoi… rather than developing tourism. However, choosing the industrial development option in the Central region is wrong. Perhaps choosing the Central region as the starting place of tourism and then industrial development will be more correct and convenient.

“The question is, what should we do to develop localities with tourism potential, for the central coastal strip? At this point, I’m just thinking about the thing, so far we’ve been tourism. relying on natural scenery too much, can now think of promoting literature and art, one step ahead can effectively promote tourism”, Prof. Dang Hung Vo emphasized.

Referring to the problem of Binh Dinh and Quy Nhon, Mr. Vo said that, in addition to what people still say about this locality, there are many beautiful scenes such as rapids, small beaches… investors should focus on culture more. than.

Assoc. Dr. Tran Kim Chung, former deputy director of the Central Institute for Economic Management, said that after each economic, social, and health crisis, the economy will be restructured. New products are introduced to replace old products. New economic areas appeared and were selected to replace the old ones that were having to deal with the consequences of the crisis and restructuring. Therefore, the following areas will have an advantage in the economic recovery.

“The Covid-19 pandemic crisis has caused the tourism industry to restructure. And so, tourism real estate investment must also be restructured. As a result, new locations, including Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) will have the advantage of being a latecomer in recovering the tourism economy and developing tourism real estate in the coming years”, Assoc. Dr. Tran Kim Chung commented.

Speaking at the seminar, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Director of the Hospitality Department, General Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) said that in the coming time, Vietnam will face competition between domestic and foreign tourists. countries and destinations globally because countries in the region and around the world are also preparing to attract international tourists back. Accordingly, tourism destinations that are ahead of global trends will have the opportunity to win the competition and achieve high efficiency.

According to Ms. Binh, tourists are now more interested in the quality of experience at the destination instead of the destination image, so they will stay longer if they have many interesting experiences and vice versa.

“This requires investors to balance the scale and type in accordance with the nature and tourism experience activities. In urban areas, there should be populations associated with many amenities such as entertainment, sports, spas, mineral baths, events, art performances, games, cultural exchanges… to create memorable experiences for visitors,” said Ms. Nguyen Thanh Binh.
