A representative of Doan Thi Diem Secondary School (Nam Tu Liem) said that the school is planning to apply for permission from the Department of Education and Training and the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to organize a day-boarding again. This recommendation is based on a survey of the opinions and needs of parents of all grades. According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khang, Principal of Marie Curie School, the school is expected to organize day-boarding from March 28 or April 1 for students in grades 7, 8, and 9. “The school has consulted the Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem district about this. The leader of the department said that the school needs to wait until this weekend to see how the epidemic situation is, then have a decision plan for schools.”Mr. Khang said.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Chairman of the Board of Management of Nguyen Binh Khiem Education System, also informed that the school is expected to organize part-boarding activities again in early April to make it easier for parents to transport and students. study confidently.

Talking to the press, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Principal of Chu Van An High-Quality Secondary School (Long Bien), shared that the whole school has only about 14 students and the teacher is F0. The school will consider organizing day-boarding for students around the beginning of April because this is the desire of many families.

There are students close to 10km from the school, if the family has two children in two different schools, studying in 2 shifts in the morning/afternoon, the transportation will be very difficult. Families very much hope the school organizes day-boarding because of the difficulty of transportation.

“The school has a separate bedroom and dining room for students. The class size is only about 35 students, the facilities are good if it is a day-boarding organization. A representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the Department is coordinating with the district Departments of Education and Training to get opinions and calculate options for safe school opening, including the organization of day-boarding. The Department of Education and Training will base on the epidemic situation and the Department of Health’s advice to seek guidance from the City People’s Committee on a plan for schools to organize day-boarding in the near future.

On February 18, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Ngo Thi Minh sent a written request to the Hanoi People’s Committee about organizing day-boarding when students return to school. In particular, it is necessary to ensure safe conditions for epidemic prevention and control in educational institutions to organize semi-boarding meals when preschool children and students return to school.

When organizing semi-boarding meals for preschool children, students of all grades and educational institutions need to follow the following principles: Limiting exchanges and contact between classes, prioritizing class meals, and students having lunch. At school, according to separate meals, do not share personal items, ensure hygiene and disinfection of the cafeteria, kitchen and food safety.

Regarding the issue of day-boarding, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son once shared that there is no difference in the risk of infection for students who attend one session, two sessions or part-boarding. Therefore, schools that are eligible and ensure safety for epidemic prevention and control can organize part-boarding for children to create convenience and reduce trouble for parents and their families.
