Secretary of the delegation successfully started a business with the model of growing gotu kola, milk grapes, and peach flowers

Mr. Hoang Van Tuan (SN 1986) was born and raised in a purely agricultural family in Xuan Du commune, Nhu Thanh mountainous district (Thanh Hoa), currently the Secretary of the Youth Union of Xuan Du commune.

Over the years, Mr. Tuan has made great efforts to overcome difficulties to start a business in his own land. In August 2021, he leased back nearly 5 hectares of local land to develop a model of growing gotu kola, Korean milk grapes, digging ponds and releasing fish…

He chose to plant a local model of gotu kola from his passion for agriculture. Realizing that gotu kola is suitable for the local soil type, easy to grow, easy to care for, short growing time… so he planted 4,000m2.

After the gotu kola was harvested, Mr. Tuan also cooperated with the unit to sell products, transfer technology, seeds and fertilizers…

To develop stronger and more sustainable, he established Tuan Ha Xuan Du Farm Cooperative and is currently the Deputy Director of the cooperative.

In addition to the gotu kola model, Mr. Tuan also cooperated with New Style Trading and Construction Joint Stock Company to plant another 1,500 high-class milk vine plants originating from Korea.

Currently, a model of milk grapes is being built and installed by Mr. Tuan.

Not only is he a pioneer in the local economic development movement, he also creates regular jobs for many people with an income of 4.5-5 million VND/person/month.

The association with product outsourcing units helps his model to be interested, supported, checked, evaluated for quality, transferred care techniques…

In addition to economic development, Mr. Tuan is also the Secretary of the Union who is active in union activities with 10 consecutive years being awarded certificates of merit by the Central Committee of the Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Youth Union for individuals in union and team work. The Youth Union of Xuan Du commune has been an excellent unit for many years in a row.

In 2020, Mr. Tuan won the 7th prize “Start-up ideas among youth union members and youths of Thanh Hoa province” with the model of planting peach trees in the locality.

In 2021, he is one of 57 rural youths who are good at producing and doing business across the country who were awarded the 16th Luong Dinh Cua Award by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Currently, besides the model of growing gotu kola, grapes, peaches, he combines digging ponds to release fish.

Many years ago, he developed a model of growing peaches with about 1.5 hectares, earning hundreds of millions of dong.

In addition to the above models, Mr. Tuan is actively renting more land to expand the model of growing perilla and lettuce.

To have the success like today, Mr. Hoang Van Tuan has traveled to many places to learn from many different models; Studying on books, the internet… Starting with a lot of poverty, he strongly borrowed money from banks, family and friends to start a business.
He shared that in the near future, he will cooperate with local people to expand and grow more models of centella asiatica, perilla, and lettuce, and he will represent them to buy products to help them. sustainable economic development of the people.
