Selling iPhones donated by parents for spending money, young people go to the police to report being robbed

After selling the iPhone 12 Pro Max phone given to him by his parents for spending money, T. went to the police headquarters to report the robbery.

Earlier, on the morning of March 24, Nguyen Duc T. (SN 2003, residing in Hoa Tho Tay ward, Cam Le district) went to the police headquarters of Hoa Quy ward to report the case of a stolen iPhone 12 Pro Max worth nearly 30 million dong.

Determining the serious nature of the incident, Hoa Quy Ward Police coordinated with the Criminal Police Team of Ngu Hanh Son District Police to verify and investigate.

During the process of verifying, finding witnesses and extracting cameras, the police found that there were no suspicious details related to the robbery that T. reported.

Therefore, the police force focused on working with T. on the content of the initial testimony. Later, the young man admitted to making up the above story.

This young man confessed that he had dropped out of school midway, often hanging out with friends. In order to have money to “burn” into the fun, T. sold the phone that his parents bought as a gift for 15 million VND.

For fear of being discovered, T. made up the story of being robbed and went to the police station of Hoa Quy ward to declare in order to “increase credibility” in order to deceive his parents.
