The incident started as follows, on the night of March 21, the subject set up an account on the Viber application, pretending to be two friends of Duc Phuc, Nguyen Minh Hai and singer Erik, to trick Germany into appropriating them. Phuc the amount is 32 million dong.

First, the subject Hai (fake) texted Duc Phuc, started a story about going back to Vietnam and asked Duc Phuc if he wanted to buy anything in Australia, he would buy it and bring it home.

After that, subject Hai (fake) created a group on Viber to chat including Hai (fake), Duc Phuc and added singer Erik (fake). The reason is for both Phuc and Erik to message the list of items they want to buy in Australia into this group for easy synthesis.

The subject continued to ask Erik (fake) to transfer the airfare to the agent in Vietnam, at that time Erik (fake) asked Duc Phuc to transfer the money for him.

Coincidentally that evening, Duc Phuc asked to borrow money from Erik, but Erik replied that he could only transfer it the next day, so Duc Phuc was even more confident. He agreed and replaced Erik (fake) to transfer the amount of airfare to help Hai (fake).

After the transfer was complete, Duc Phuc still did not know that he had been cheated. It was not until 30 minutes later, when talking with the real male singer Erik, that Duc Phuc was surprised to discover the truth.

Singer Duc Phuc tried to keep a normal attitude in the chat group and gradually quieted down, but the two pretending subjects continued their fraudulent behavior.

After the incident happened, at 9:00 am on March 21, Duc Phuc went to the Investigation Police Department – Thu Duc City Police (where Phuc is residing) to report the incident and provide sufficient evidence. , relevant information, make a denunciation and send it to the authorities about the aforementioned fraud.

The case is currently being resolved. Duc Phuc said: “Looking back on the matter, Phuc sees that, blaming the scammers, Phuc will also have to blame himself more for being too trusting of people and subjectively not double-checking all the information. believe before acting. This will be an expensive lesson for Phuc to learn from and be more careful from now on.”

Duc Phuc said that the subject also learns about himself and his friends very carefully to be able to grasp so much information, not just talking and cheating.

Subject called and then turned off to create missed calls to increase reliability, but when Duc Phuc called back, he did not answer the phone.

Duc Phuc hopes that the investigating agency will find the fraudster and have appropriate punishment to deter others with similar behavior.

The male singer promised that if he was lucky enough to get the money back, he would donate to the study promotion fund for poor children in difficult circumstances.

It is worth noting that on the same day Duc Phuc happened to be cheated, “Miss tycoon” Pham Kim Dung and Miss Vietnam Do Thi Ha were taken advantage of by their images and pretended to be fraudulent. Coincidentally, the bank account number used for the transaction is the same account number used to deceive Duc Phuc.

Pham Kim Dung said that company employees received a message from Viber named Pham Kim Dung asking to transfer money to Do Thi Ha to borrow and transfer to a number of accounts with other names.

However, Ms. Pham Kim Dung’s staff were luckier than singer Duc Phuc, consciously aware of the abnormality and not deceived.
