Recently, the People’s Committee of Soc Trang province approved the preliminary requirements on the capacity and experience of investors registering to implement two new urban area projects, Ward 4 – Areas 1 and 2, Soc Trang City for the land that has not yet been completed. Clearance.

The objective is to invest in building a new urban area with synchronous technical and social infrastructure according to the criteria of a new and smart urban area of ​​Soc Trang city; developing central urban areas; meet the people’s demand for housing, social housing, commerce and services…

Specifically, zone 1 has an area of ​​about 46.62 hectares; population is about 7,500 people.

In which, civil land is 46.39 ha (99.5%) (including urban public land 5,356 m2; urban traffic land 2,238 m2; land for villas, townhouses, social houses, land) public land, educational land, green land – physical training and sports… is 43.61 ha); technical infrastructure land 2,351 m2.

The northeast borders on the planning land of the provincial administrative area. To the southeast, it borders Ring Road 2 and the land that has been cleared for Ring Road 2 (auction). The northwest borders on urban area 5A. The southwest borders on existing agricultural land.

Preliminary total cost of project implementation is 4,420.8 billion VND; compensation, support and resettlement costs more than 415 billion VND.

The new urban area of ​​Ward 4 – Zone 2 has an area of ​​45.24 hectares; The estimated population is 7,480 people.

In which, residential land has an area of ​​more than 17.73 hectares (39.2%); education land 1.5 ha (3.34%); medical station 710.7 m2 (0.16%); green land – square 11.19 ha (24.75%); land for infrastructure – transportation covers an area of ​​more than 14.73 hectares (32.55%).

The northeast is bordered by the provincial police area and the land that people are using. The Southeast borders on land that people are using and existing agricultural land. The southwest borders on existing agricultural land. The northwest borders the ring road 2 and the commercial housing construction project in the new urban area Ward 4 – Zone 2 (auction).

Preliminary total cost of implementation 3,295 billion VND; compensation, support and resettlement costs are nearly 358 billion VND.

Term and progress of investment in two projects within 50 years from the date of issuance of the decision on land allocation.

The form of investor selection for the above two projects is in the form of bidding. The province assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to organize the announcement of investment projects with land use, notice inviting interest and implement the next steps in accordance with current regulations.

Both projects were approved by Soc Trang Provincial People’s Committee on March 11, 2022.

Investors interested in the project should contact the Department of Planning and Investment. The deadline for submitting project registration documents is 5:00 p.m. on April 19, 2022.
