Thailand struggled to beat Nepal in a friendly match

(Dan Tri) – In the match taking place in Bangkok, Thailand won 2-0 against Nepal, with two late goals from Phillip Roller and Chaowat Wirachat.

The match against Nepal is also the first international match of the Thai team, since they won the AFF Cup 2020 on New Year’s Day 2022.

The lineup of the Golden Temple football team has changed significantly compared to the championship period football Southeast Asia, because coach Mano Polking wants to test many faces that he has not had the opportunity to use at the AFF Cup.

On the right is Kevin Deeromram, while Tristan Do is sent to the left, pushing star defender Theerathon Bunmathan onto the bench.

In midfield, Chaowat Weerachat took the place of captain Chanathip Songkrasin, who did not focus on the Thai team this time around.

It wasn’t until the 78th minute that the substitute Phillip Roller scored the opening goal for the Golden Temple team, from a situation that moved from the right wing into the middle, heading into the net of Nepal.

About 10 minutes later, Chaowat Weerachat scored the second goal, fixing a 2-0 victory for the home team.

A few days after this match, coach Mano Polking’s team continued to have a friendly match with Suriname, also in Bangkok.
