Vietnam team lost more Tien Linh, only 20 players to play against Japan

Striker Tien Linh was injured in the match against Oman last night. MRI results at the hospital showed that Tien Linh’s lesions could not heal soon. Therefore, coach Park Hang Seo decided to remove the name of the best striker of the Vietnamese team from the trip to Japan.

Le Van Xuan also flipped his ankle and was unable to recover in time to attend the match against Japan on March 29. This U23 player was introduced to the field to replace Vu Van Thanh in the second half and was hurt but still tried to play the whole match.

Besides, Coach Park Hang Seo did not summon additional players, but only replaced goalkeeper Vu Tuyen Quang with Dang Van Lam. The goalkeeper of the Cerezo Osaka club will join the team in Japan.
