In the near future, experts believe that there will be a replacement for the high-rise SUV that is popular around the world.

As car users around the world start to prefer SUVs and CUVs, car manufacturers are also rushing to make SUVs and CUVs to race for sales. But if there’s one thing we can learn from the industry’s history, it’s that “Nothing lasts forever.”

In the history of the automobile industry we have seen many great variations between the styles in which cars are built. From the most basic sedans to SUVs of all sizes, minivans are even used as a mobile home or wagons are popular in Europe and the US but are picky in Asia.

All of them once created a market craze. But there has never been a segment like SUV / CUV, collectively known as high-rise multi-purpose vehicles, causing car manufacturers to “swallow” like in the past time, even some have killed sedans to give way to SUVs. As a result, SUVs/CUVs have captured a significant portion of annual sales for a long time.

If there’s one thing we can learn from the history of the auto industry, it’s that “Nothing lasts forever.” Maybe one fine day, users all over the world wake up and decide “I won’t buy an SUV anymore”.

Even Ford and Hyundai are betting that Americans don’t just want pickup truck large, midsize and luxury but also compact cars like Maverick or Santa Cruz. So one day, pickup trucks of various sizes will become as ubiquitous as crossovers are today.

Or the future electrification trend will bring electric models with familiar-but-strange shapes like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 or Polestar 2 to the throne. The design style of the two models mentioned above both brings good looks and offers a large luggage compartment thanks to the electric powertrain that takes up less space. Or will SUVs and crossovers continue to dominate the market until they provide maximum interior space for autonomous technology to take over?
