AIMS Expert: ‘Amazing VnExpress Marathon Hue’

– What is the measurement procedure, sir?
– According to the regulations of the International Marathon Association (AIMS) together with the International Athletics Federation (IAAF), the marathon race applies measurement standards using the bicycle calibration method. This is the only measure approved by AIMS, which must be applied for the highest accuracy. A special device is used for this procedure.
For the past two days, I have been cycling carefully along Imperial Hue’s VnExpress Marathon route.
– Do you think the route is optimal for athletes?
– After measuring, my impression is that the route is “great”, if you put it in the language of athletes. Designed in many straight and broad sections, with green trees on both sides, it is very comfortable for runners. The weather here is also cool.
So in general, with this run, the runner will run really fast and with my experience I think the upcoming tournaments will have a lot of people achieving high scores and scoring PR (Personal Records).

– How do you feel about the Hue landscape on the track?
– Before coming, I heard from a friend about this place is an ancient city with a lot of beautiful scenery, especially a lot of trees. When I’m cycling, I feel this more clearly.
The running trails in Hue are beautiful, both with the ancient architecture and the tree system, especially in the Citadel area. The running track in the new city, with lots of modern features, is also very impressive.
In addition, it is impossible not to mention a suburban road at a distance of 42 km. I think runners from big cities will be very excited, feeling in tune with nature as they run across the field. This sight is hardly seen in big cities.
I also want to participate in running in Hue this year, but my health is not guaranteed, so I will make an appointment for the next race. Next year I will register for the 21km distance.

– By AIMS standards, what benefits will runners get from the VnExpress Marathon system?
– I find the goal of bringing the VnExpress Marathon to the AIMS standard very meaningful. Because it helps runners participating in the VnExpress Marathon can use the competition results as a condition when applying for major races in the world like Boston Marathon, Chicago Marathon, New York City Marathon.
For me, if the VnExpress Marathon met AIMS standards, there would be a perfect running track.
