Exciting Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Boat Race 2022

The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 91st anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2022); 76 years of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 – March 27, 2022); and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of District 7 (April 1, 1997 – April 1, 2022), and at the same time promoting the campaign “All people practice sports following the great Uncle Ho’s example”.

Participating in the tournament include Sports Clubs, departments, branches, social organizations, armed forces, businesses in the city and sports clubs from An Giang and Binh provinces. Thuan, Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai with more than 500 athletes from 20 delegations. Compete for first place in the whole team with 8 competitions in two classes A and B.

At the end of the race, in the A-class content, the first trophy belonged to the Dong Phu District Youth Union – Binh Phuoc province, followed by the Binh Thuan province delegation, and finally the Binh Thanh District Sports Center delegation. In the B-class content, the Education and Training Division of District 7 took first place, the Military Command of District 12 took the second prize, and the Education and Training Department of District 7 took the third prize.

The Ho Chi Minh City Traditional Boat Race is an annual sporting event to promote the practice of traditional boat racing among all classes of people. At the same time, propagandize in the community to join hands to protect the environment of canals and rivers in the city.
