Hanoi leads the country in the number of candidates winning the National Excellent Student Award in High School

The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the results of the selection exam the good student in nation high school level for the school year 2021-2022.

In terms of the total number of prizes, Hanoi leads the country in the number of contestants, with 125 prizes; followed by Hai Phong (85 prizes), Hai Duong (82 prizes), Nghe An (79 prizes), Ha Tinh (74 prizes).

Among the specialized universities under the university, Hanoi National University has 76 prizes; Hanoi National University of Education has 57 prizes, Ho Chi Minh City National University has 46 prizes, Vinh University has 18 prizes, and Ho Chi Minh City University of Pedagogy has 3 prizes.

In terms of the number of first prizes, the two leading localities in the country are Bac Ninh (10 prizes), Vinh Phuc (8 prizes).

The specialized division of Hanoi National University also ranked first in the number of first prizes (10 prizes), followed by Hanoi (7 prizes), Ho Chi Minh City (7 prizes), and Hai Phong (6 prizes).

The subject with the most prizes is Chemistry with 12 prizes. Next was Physics, Biology and Informatics with 11 first prizes, and Geography with 10 first prizes.

In Mathematics, there are 10 first prizes nationwide, of which Vinh Phuc, Nghe An, and High School for the Gifted (National University of Ho Chi Minh City) have 2 first prizes.

The English subject has 9 first prizes, in which, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted (Ho Chi Minh City) is the leading school with 4 first prizes in English.

In Literature, the whole country had 4 first prizes belonging to students in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Lam Dong and Hai Duong.

The national exam to select excellent students for high school in 2022 has 12 subjects, with 4,671 candidates taking the exam. As a result, there were 2,319 winners (accounting for 49.6%, equivalent to the previous school year and down compared to the period 2015 – 2020 (50 – 60%).
