In charge of taking care of my sister-in-law in confinement, I slept late at night and did not hear the call, and then had a heart attack

It turned out that my sister-in-law woke up to breastfeed, felt hungry, so she called and told me to warm up the porridge and bring it in.

My husband’s brother just got married last year. The husband’s house is spacious, so we and his wife still live with the mother-in-law.

My sister-in-law just gave birth, now in confinement. Her mother-in-law is old and can’t stay up at night. I didn’t have children, so I didn’t have any problems, so before my sister-in-law was born, my mother-in-law told me to take care of her while in confinement.

Actually, this time I am very busy but still agree with the request of the mother-in-law. Sisters help each other in difficult times, after all, they are one family.

During the few days my sister-in-law was at the hospital, I was on duty all night, and still had to go to work in the morning. She’s been home for two days now, I’m so tired I want to be exhausted. I stayed awake for several nights in a row, slept for a few hours a day, and my mother-in-law did not help me.

Last night I was too tired to sleep very soundly, my sister-in-law called but I didn’t hear it despite the loud ringing, my husband was on a business trip. Every night I wake up five times seven times, my sister-in-law needs to call again to tell me to come over.

I was startled awake by the sound of banging on the door. My sister-in-law called me but couldn’t call her mother-in-law, so she ran to knock on the door. As soon as she saw me, her mother-in-law let out a sentence that was heartbreaking enough: “Had not given birth, still selfish, sisters in the family don’t want to help each other. Or are you jealous?”.

It turned out that my sister-in-law woke up to breastfeed, felt hungry, so she called and told me to warm up the porridge and bring it in. After I returned to my room, I couldn’t sleep the whole night.

My husband and I have been married for 5 years and still have no children despite all kinds of treatment. When I went to the doctor, it was because of me, since then my mother-in-law began to have prejudice against her daughter-in-law.

Unable to bear children for her husband, unable to be a mother, I am the saddest person ever. But do I deserve this treatment, people? Should I divorce to free my husband, but also to free myself from this humiliating life? Thinking about it, I don’t know how much longer I can stand it.
