The incident happened at about 9:30 pm on March 25 in Hung Loc commune, Hau Loc district, Thanh Hoa.
Four little girls drove each other by a motorbike to go out from Hung Loc commune. At the inland section of Phu Luong village, the car plunged into a sewer about 2 m deep.

The accident caused TTV (13 years old), D.TT (12 years old), MTBY (13 years old) dead.
The child sitting in the back with the same name PTKV (13 years old) was thrown to the opposite side of the ditch, so he escaped death.
This group of girls lives in Ngu Loc commune and attends Ngu Loc Secondary School.
During the night, the authorities picked up the body and supported the family to carry out post-mortem procedures for the victims.
Local authorities identified the initial cause of darkness, the group of students plunged straight into the ditch, leading to unconsciousness and drowning.
