National Tourism Year – Golden opportunity for central tourism

National Tourism Year is the biggest annual event of Vietnam’s tourism industry with the aim to attract domestic and international tourists and strongly promote tourism linkage and development between localities.

Quang Nam province hosting the National Tourism Year is considered a golden opportunity for the central region’s tourism industry to recover and make a breakthrough after COVID-19 pandemic. The province has had many initiatives to promote tourism such as developing new and attractive products in line with the trend of “Green tourism”.

These days, the ancient town of Hoi An – the heart of Quang Nam tourism continuously welcomes tens of thousands of visitors. With the hosting of National Tourism Year 2022, Quang Nam province organizes a series of 62 events, operating under 6 programs, expecting to receive 4.2 million visitors, of which about 1.7 million. international visitors, total tourism revenue reached 6,000 billion.

In addition to exploiting the inherent world cultural heritages, Quang Nam actively expands tourism space to the south and develops unique tourism products in the western mountainous region.

The tourist center of the Central region, the locality bordering Quang Nam is Da Nang city, is also ready for the National Tourism Year 2022 with the message “Enjoy Danang – Enjoy Danang”.

In which, the province focuses on promoting customer markets that have the ability to recover quickly and potential markets such as: Korea, Thailand and Japan; at the same time promoting products of strengths and renewing typical tourism products.

Up to now, 9 airlines have reopened 10 international routes connecting directly to Da Nang. The “opening of the sky” promises to help Da Nang International Airport welcome millions of visitors for tourism in the Central region in this National Tourism Year 2022. Thereby, affirming the determination to bring the tourism industry back to recovery and strong development in the coming time.
