(Dan Tri) – Newly released satellite images appear to show a Russian warship on fire, after Ukraine claimed to have “destroyed” the weapon.

Business Insider Reportedly, satellite images released by the company Maxar show that the Russian Alligator-class lander appears to be on fire and submerged in the port of Berdyansk in the Sea of Azov, southern Ukraine.
On March 24, Ukraine announced that it had destroyed an amphibious ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet while it was docked in the port of Berdyansk.
The Pentagon said on March 25 that this ship was responsible for resupplying the Russian military as Moscow forces were tightening the siege around the city of Mariupol.
“The ship that was destroyed in Berdyansk can carry 20 tanks, 45 armored vehicles and 400 servicemen. This is a big target that our army has hit,” Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar announced today. 24/3.

Maxar’s satellite image shows a column of black smoke rising from the ship while it was partially submerged.
Russia has not yet made any statement about the above information.
Since February 24, Russia has launched a special operation in the neighboring country, aiming to combat military Ukrainian army. Tensions have so far shown no sign of easing as the two sides have yet to find a common voice at the negotiating table. Russia yesterday announced that it was almost completing the first phase of the operation and destroyed many important military targets of Ukraine over the past month.
