The mural village located in alley 75 Nguyen Van Linh (Hai Chau district, Da Nang) used to attract tourists and a large number of people to check in. However, up to now, the alley seems to be forgotten, there are no visitors.
Although the alley “fresco village in the heart of Da Nang” is located in a central, busy location, right near the Dragon Bridge and the Cham Museum, there are almost no visitors today.
“Mural village in the heart of Da Nang” is located in alley 75 Nguyen Van Linh, Hai Chau district.
The alley is empty of customers after nearly 2 years of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Many paintings on the wall were discolored.
Some of the walls are peeling and damaged, causing the mural work to be affected.
The alley was too narrow, many cars lined up along the walls, partially covering the paintings.
Motorcycles built close to the wall “didn’t match” with the mural.
The mural village in the heart of Da Nang city was developed from the idea of Ms. Duong Huynh Trang, Secretary of the Youth Union of Phuoc Ninh ward.
Participating in the project are 15 members of the City Fine Arts Association and a group of students from Danang University of Architecture. The project went into operation at the end of April 2018, attracting a large number of tourists to visit.
The mural village has more than 30 paintings with themes of rivers, mountains, sea… the natural beauty and people of Da Nang. This project both shows the cultural beauty and beautifies the space of the alleys in Da Nang.
Recently, the Chairman of the Fine Arts Association of Da Nang City proposed a highlight model for the city, the mural village. However, a mural village will be built at Ong Man Thai Tomb (Son Tra district) with a more methodical and larger-scale organization. Through drawings, creative installation art will attract visitors everywhere to visit and experience.
