10 hot air balloons flying 10m and 22m high were lit in the Ly Thai To flower garden area, making the weekend walking street more bustling than ever.

“Hot Balloon Festival – Colorful Hanoi” organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism is part of the city’s response to reopening tourism activities, taking place from March 25 to March 27.

Small hot air balloons are released at a height of 10m and 22m to serve tourists to take pictures and check-in.

Many people find it very interesting when they see a hot air balloon for the first time. Everyone can experience flying and see the city from above.

A lot of people gathered around the hot air balloons to take souvenir photos.

The pedestrian street area becomes more crowded thanks to the hot air balloons. The children expressed interest in seeing this moment in real life.

It is known that from March 26, the event will sell entrance tickets for 60,000 VND/person, free for children under 1.1m. Tickets to visit hot air balloons cost 25,000 VND, flight tickets are 150,000 VND/child and 300,000 VND/adult.


Hot air balloons are only allowed to fly in conditions of wind level 3 or less and no rain. In case of bad weather, the show will be postponed. Travelers who buy tickets will be refunded, or make up for another day.

The Hanoi Department of Tourism said that after this festival, hot air balloons will be a regular tourist product of Hanoi to attract tourists.
