China pays tribute to the victims of the plane crash

At about 14:00 (local time), sirens sounded throughout the mountainous area in Tengxuan County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Southern China. The entire staff of the national emergency response agency for the accident and the rescue force present at the scene observed a 3-minute silence to remember the victims. Relatives of the victims also held activities to remember their loved ones.

The tragic accident happened on March 21 when a Boeing 737-800 plane number 5735 of China Eastern Airlines, departed from Kunming city (the capital of Yunnan province) to Guangzhou city (the capital of Yunnan province) government of Guangdong province), lost contact while flying over the city of Wuzhou. The plane was later determined to have crashed into the mountains.

At the time of the accident, there were 132 people on board, including 123 passengers and 9 crew members. Chinese officials confirmed that all 132 people on board were killed. Currently, the authorities have found two black boxes of the plane.
