Chinese “magician” iPhone 13 Pro Max Ultra with USB-C port, 3.5mm jack, cooling fan, 2 batteries
We’ve seen it before iPhone X, iPhone 12 Pro Max be “modified” the USB-C port. Now, a modder has included a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a larger battery, and even a cooling fan into the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
In a series of videos on TikTok (or Douyin in China), Yang Changshun showed us the iPhone 13 Pro Max “Ultra”, an iPhone that has changed a lot. As you can see in the attached images, this device is twice the thickness of the regular iPhone 13 Pro Max and adds a battery, two cooling fans, a USB Type-C port, louder speakers and a 3.5mm jack .
Thanks to the upgraded battery, this iPhone 13 Pro Max can provide twice the usage time. The videos also show that this iPhone has a higher AnTuTu score, possibly due to the extra cooling fan. While the final product looked a bit rough, it certainly provided a unique solution to the problems many iPhone users face on a daily basis.
However, the fan blowing air inside the phone also exposes the components to dust, and this iPhone 13 Pro Max “Ultra” is no longer water resistant.
