Fun festival throwing colored powder in Da Nang-Young people

Recently, at Man Thai beach (Son Tra district, Da Nang city) the Indian color festival – Holi Festival DaNang 2022. The event attracted a large number of young Vietnamese and international tourists to participate.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Khiet, representative of the organizer shared: “This is the second time Holi festival is held in Da Nang. For foreigners far from home, this is an opportunity to create excitement for them and cultural exchange for Vietnamese and foreigners.”

Holi is also known as the “Festival of Colors” or the “Spring Festival”. Holi festival symbolizes joy and victory of good over evil, joy and heralds the coming of spring. This is one of the important holidays in Indian culture as well as in many countries where the Hindu community lives.

At the festival, Ms. Surabhi Jaiswar (India), who has lived in Vietnam for a long time, excitedly shared: “I am very happy that so many people come here to enjoy the traditional festival of their homeland. People throwing colored powder at each other means – I acknowledge your presence, everyone is friends. It is like an acceptance, bridging the gap and respecting the communities that are different from me.

Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huong (Da Nang) said: “I knew about the program through friends, the first time I came to participate, I was very happy when I threw colored powder at each other”.
