Parents are angry because their children can’t go to school in person

The school has not yet given a specific plan and roadmap on welcoming students back, making many parents frustrated. On behalf of the students’ parents even wrote a letter asking the school to let their children go to school directly.

In the past few days, the representative board of parents of students of FPT High School (Hanoi) is upset because although the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has sent a written request to the establishments education develop an appropriate plan to organize direct teaching for grades 7-12, but so far, the school has not given a specific roadmap on welcoming students back to school.

Ms. Quach Thi Diep Quynh, Head of the Parent Representative Committee of FPT High School, said that for nearly a year, students had to study online. The children look forward to going to school every day. While many high schools in Hanoi have implemented live learning Most of the provinces and cities across the country have allowed students of all levels to go back to school, but FPT High School has not yet had specific information about welcoming students back to school.

“We have sent a request to the Board of Directors and leaders, but the school only replied in a very general way that the school is still taking steps under the direction of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. Up to now, the school has not made any action or further information for parents and students. Meanwhile, the children are still looking forward to going to school as soon as possible.”

Quynh said that many other boarding schools in the city have also let students return to school for a long time, even giving a very clear plan on how to deal with F0 cases in schools to give parents peace of mind.

“Meanwhile, at the present time, the school should at least have a plan for Year 12 students to return to study. The fact that 12th graders still have to study online while students in the same class have been able to go to school directly is a huge disadvantage before the upcoming high school graduation exam,” this parent said.

Regarding this issue, talking to VietNamNet, a representative of FPT High School said that the school also hopes to welcome students back to school soon. However, due to the characteristics of the boarding environment, the organization of learning activities has more issues to consider than one-day schools and without eating or staying at school; Therefore, in order to organize direct learning to ensure safety for students, convenience for parents and comply with the direction of State management agencies, FPT High School has established a detailed plan and sent it to Thach District People’s Committee. Lost approval.

Up to now, the People’s Committee of Thach That district has agreed in principle with the proposed plan of the school and assigned the Department of Education and Training of Thach That district to chair and coordinate with the Health Department and the District Health Center to inspect the necessary conditions for the school to be ready to welcome students back to study directly in a boarding environment.

“After working with the Department of Education and Training of Thach That District, the Health Department and the District Health Center, the school will send a specific notice to the parents of the students. It is expected that the school will welcome students back to study directly in early April,” a school representative said.
