Teenagers fall from the world’s tallest free fall tower
AmericaA 14-year-old boy died after falling from a 131-meter free-fall tower in Florida, the cause of the crash is unknown.
The accident occurred at an amusement park in the city of Orlando, Florida America, on March 25. Local police said the victim, Tire Sampson, 14, was taken to the emergency room but died in hospital from his injuries.
“At first we thought it was debris from a chair or something, but we found someone lying on the ground as we approached. Everyone was panicking and screaming,” said Montrey Williams, a member of the company.

American media reported that the players felt there was a problem with the seat belts. The chair began to fall freely from the top of the tower, before Sampson was thrown from the chair while the device slowed down and fell to the ground from a height of 60 meters.
The Florida Department of Agriculture, which oversees the adventure game, has launched an investigation and inspection at the scene.
The 131-meter-high Orlando Free Fall Tower opened in December 2021 and is described as “the world’s tallest freefall tower”. The cluster of seats can accommodate 30 passengers and carry them to the top of the tower, then tilt the player to the ground and free fall at a speed of 120 km / h.
Park officials announced the closure of two indefinite games at the park, including the Orlando Free Fall. The International Amusement Park Association says the serious injury rate while playing stationary stunts at US theme parks is one in 15.5 million rides.
