Mr. Nguyen Van Luong (born in 1990, from Dong Thap) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Dao (born in 1992, from Binh Dinh) are over 30 years old, but both are less than 1.1m tall. Leaving their homeland, Mr. Luong and Ms. Dao went to Ho Chi Minh City to sell lottery tickets.

Fate is something that is hard to describe, just know that it is very special. At the end of 2014, while selling a lost lottery ticket, Mr. Luong met Ms. Dao. Two people, two similar circumstances quickly found sympathy.

Luong said, at first they just wanted to be friends because of the same situation. The more we talk, the more we interact, and the more we see each other, the more we feel for each other, so we decide get married.

It’s painful to watch your child die at birth

With a small body, life is still hard, but Dao always wishes to have a child to make her home as complete as many other families. In 2016, Ms. Dao was pregnant with a baby boy. By the 2nd month of pregnancy, the doctor has advised to terminate the pregnancy to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.

“The doctor said that the baby was weak and deformed, so the baby should not be born. But because it was my first child, and the desire to be a mother was always intense, so I couldn’t bear to leave her. The baby is growing in my body, but I can’t do it if I say leave.

The baby was born at 39 weeks, weighing 3.1kg. I gave birth by cesarean section and was under anesthesia, so I didn’t know anything, when the baby was born, I couldn’t see his face. After the surgery, I stayed in the postoperative room for 6 hours to wake up. By the time I woke up, I was gone.

The husband and the doctor hid, did not tell me, lied that the child was in an incubator. It wasn’t until two days later that people told the truth. If the pregnancy continues, the doctor warns that only 25% of the baby can grow up normally, 75% will have other serious problems.

I’ve always wanted to be a mother, I hope the baby will fall in about 25% of luck.” Ms. Dao confided. The shock of losing a child has made her depressed for a long time, until now, her sadness has not subsided.

In 2016, they had their first child.

But the little angel did not stay with his parents.

Knowing that his wife desires that, but Luong does not agree that Dao wants to have another child. Because he knows that his wife has a weak resistance, a small body, had a cesarean section last time, and if she continues to be pregnant, she will face many dangers.

Partly worried about his wife, another part, Mr. Luong was afraid that if he gave birth to a child, the child would be unlucky, his future future would be very miserable. “Both parents have suffered like this, I don’t want my children to suffer anymore“, Luong anxiously turned his gaze to his wife.

Dao forced a smile, hesitantly talking about her fear:I’m afraid that if my wife and I don’t have children, one day we’ll miss it again“But Mr. Luong immediately reassured: “I promise to still love you like the day we first met“.

“This life is only for you and me”

A few months ago, a complicated disease outbreak made the lives of Mr. Luong and Ms. Dao even more difficult when they could not sell lottery tickets, and sports competitions were also halted.
