U23 Vietnam will face U23 Uzbekistan on March 29

U23 Vietnam will meet U23 Uzbekistan in the match at 19:00 on March 29.

In the second round of the U23 Dubai Cup 2022 friendly tournament on the evening of March 26, despite trying very hard, the U23 Vietnam team still lost to Croatia U23 with a score of 0-1.

With this result, teacher and coach Lee Young Jin ranked 8th out of 10 teams participating in the tournament after 2 rounds. Based on the rankings of the teams, the Organizing Committee continues to assign pairs to play the rest of the tournament.

Accordingly, the top team U23 Saudi Arabia will meet the second ranked team Japan. China (3rd place) confronts host UAE (4th place), Croatia U23 (5th place) meets Qatar (6th place).

The 8th-ranked Vietnam U23 team will meet the 7th-ranked Iraq, but this is the opponent that coach Lee Young Jin’s teachers and students met in the opening match. To help the teams have the opportunity to rub and learn from each other, the Organizing Committee has ranked U23 Vietnam against Uzbekistan (9th team), while Iraq plays Thailand (10th place).

An interesting thing at the tournament is that the Organizing Committee decided not to let the teams in the same group in the U23 Asian final round of 2022 meet in the Dubai Cup. That is why U23 Vietnam and Thailand did not face each other in the first two matches.
