Vo Hoang Hai – the first 10th grader to win the national first prize in Physics

In the recent national competition for excellent students, the Physics team of the High School for the Gifted of Natural Sciences, (University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) had 10 students and all of them qualified. high prize. In which, there are 4 first prizes, 5 second prizes and 1 third prize.

In which, Vo Hoang Hai is the youngest student and also the first 10th grader in Vietnam to win the National First Prize in Physics and participate in the selection of the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) team.

Becoming the youngest member to participate in this exam, Hai said, I was also quite worried because my brothers and sisters had 1-2 years to prepare, and I myself only had a few months to review, so my knowledge of the high school level is still lacking a lot. Therefore, during the sprint period, Hai usually spends about 10-12 hours a day studying Physics.

Hai shared: “The closer to the exam date, I don’t think much about it anymore. I study quite comfortably and don’t feel tired. Because I love Physics, I always feel happy when I solve a difficult Physics problem. Or when you find a new perspective.

Instead of putting pressure on myself, I try to stay optimistic and see this competition as an opportunity to experience and increase my knowledge.”

Hai admitted that although he was well-receptive, he was still careless in the process of doing the test. Male students also want to be able to overcome this weakness and try harder for the upcoming exams.

Before that, Hoang Hai used to be a pretty prominent name in the junior high school, Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. She has won many awards in domestic and international competitions such as the Gold Medal in the Singapore and Asian Math Olympiad SASMO for 2 consecutive years 2018 and 2019 in Vietnam.
