Sharing with VietNamNet, Mr. Bach Hung (residing in Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province) said that the video was recorded by him with his car’s dash cam on the morning of March 26. When his car was traveling on Phap Van – Cau Gie highway, turning towards Kim Bang Golf Course, a black car came up from behind and kept flashing its lights and honking its horn (specialized horn of priority vehicles). ) please pass.

“At first thinking it was a police car, I gave way to the vehicle to pass. However, later I was quite surprised to see that this car had a white BKS but had “full” equipment such as flashing lights, horns and a put a flag on the front of the car. Not sure if this is a real priority vehicle or the owner of the car arbitrarily put these things on?”Hung said.

From a distance, the car is quite similar to a police car on duty. (Photo cut from clip)

The video after being uploaded has attracted many comments from the members. The majority believe that the above Ford Everest car with a white BKS is not a police, military or ambulance vehicle. Therefore, there are flashing lights, sirens and flags that are added to the car.

“Private car but want to excel, so the owner of the car has installed more things to make it better, but this is not a priority car to be fitted with the above. Currently, this type of light and horn is sold full online, simple self-installation “Dinh Nam’s account commented.

From another point of view, reader Hung Manh said: “It’s not natural that people put these lights on cars. There are many stations on the highway traffic police, It’s not like they can get around so easily. This could be a lifeguard vehicle or a vehicle on an emergency mission, which may still be fitted with lights and horns.”

Although it is not clear if the above vehicle is a priority vehicle and is allowed to be equipped with specialized flashing lights and sirens, it can be seen that a white BKS car is attached and uses the above items when traveling like a car. The car in the clip is quite rare.

Article 22, Road Traffic Law 2008 stipulates priority vehicles when participating in traffic. Accordingly, the following vehicles have the right to go ahead of other vehicles when crossing the intersection from any direction and are ranked in the following order of priority:

– Fire trucks on duty;

– Military vehicles, police cars on urgent missions, convoys led by police cars;

– Ambulance is on emergency duty;

– Dike protection vehicles, vehicles on duty to remedy natural disasters, epidemics or vehicles on duty in a state of emergency as prescribed by law;

– The hearse.

In which, the above-mentioned priority vehicles (except hearses) when on duty must ensure that there are whistles, flags and lights in accordance with regulations; no speed restrictions; are allowed to enter the road in the opposite direction, other roads can be followed, even when there is a red light signal and only have to follow the instructions of the traffic controller.
