Works connecting Chau Doc city and Tan Chau town; 667 m long, 14 m wide, 4 lanes; Design speed 60 km/h, construction time 33 months. The completed bridge shortens the travel time between the two banks to 5 minutes compared to 30 minutes when taking the ferry.
Chau Doc Bridge belongs to the project of investment and construction of the road linking the region (parallel to provincial road 953), with a total capital of more than 2,100 billion VND, when completed, it will shorten the time from Chau Doc to Tan Chau town as well as from the West to Ho Chi Minh City; promote economic development, tourism in border areas.
This is the fourth bridge project across the Hau River. In there Can Tho Bridge and Vam Cong finished, and the project Dai Ngai Bridge Crossing the Hau River connecting Tra Vinh – Soc Trang is restarting after 5 years of stagnation.
