Covid-19 news today March 28: Vietnam added 83,376 cases of Covid-19, down 8,453 cases compared to yesterday

According to the Ministry of Health, in the past 24 hours, the whole country recorded 83,376 cases of Covid-19 in 62 provinces and cities, down 8,453 cases compared to yesterday. Among the new cases, there are 3 imported cases and 83,373 cases recorded in the country, including 55,010 community cases.

The Hanoi Department of Health registered an additional 180,000 cases after reviewing and adding sufficient information. In addition to this additional number of cases, the Hanoi Department of Health said that on March 28, Hanoi recorded an additional 9,328 cases. The localities with the largest decrease in the number of infections compared to yesterday include Lang Son (down 1,140 cases), Hanoi (down 926 cases), Dak Lak (down 704 cases).

The localities that recorded the highest number of infections compared to yesterday include Ha Tinh (up 874 cases), Hoa Binh (increase of 304 cases), Hung Yen (increase of 247 cases).

Thus, from the beginning of the epidemic until now, Vietnam has 9,274,849 infections, ranking 14 out of 225 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 121/225 countries countries and territories.

Particularly for the fourth epidemic wave from April 27, 2021 to present, the whole country has 9,267,135 cases, 5,471,891 patients have been declared cured. Localities with high cumulative infections include Hanoi (1,449,594), Ho Chi Minh City (591,943), Nghe An (390,924), Binh Duong (373,508), Hai Duong (337,425).

Regarding the treatment situation, during the day, 122,730 cases were announced to be cured. Currently, there are 3,401 severe Covid-19 patients, of which 287 cases of invasive mechanical ventilation, 5 cases of ECMO.

In the past 24 hours, the whole country had 52 deaths from Covid-19 in Dak Lak (4), Khanh Hoa (4), Quang Ninh (4), Ben Tre (3), Binh Duong (3), Dong Nai ( 3 shifts in 2 days), Ha Tinh (3), Bac Giang (2), Bac Kan (2), Binh Dinh (2), Binh Thuan (2), Kien Giang (2), Quang Nam (2), Thai Nguyen (2), Tra Vinh (2), Vinh Long (2), Bac Lieu (1), Binh Phuoc (1), Hanoi (1), Hai Duong (1), Hoa Binh (1), Nam Dinh ( 1), Quang Ngai (1), Quang Tri (1), Thanh Hoa (1), HCMC (1).

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Vietnam is currently 42,358, accounting for 0.5% of the total number of infections. The total number of deaths ranked 24/225 territories, the number of deaths per 1 million people ranked 129/225 countries and territories in the world. Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths ranks 6/49 (3rd in ASEAN).

Regarding the testing situation, from April 27, 2021 to now, 38,111,078 samples have been taken, equivalent to 84,027,988 turns of people, an increase of 101,568 samples compared to the previous day.

Regarding the vaccination situation, the total number of doses of vaccine administered was 205,216,774 doses. In there:
