During the livestream, a 12-year-old girl caused a bloody tragedy that took two lives
At about 2 a.m. on March 25, while attending a birthday party in the city of St Louis, Missouri, cousins Paris and Kuaron Harvey decided to open a livestream on Instagram.
During the broadcast, Paris shot and killed Kuaron with a gun and then committed suicide. Police told the St Louis Post-Dispatch that the two were found dead at the scene at 2:27am. Initially, the police thought this was a murder-suicide case, but the families of the two poor children did not agree with the statement.
Paris’ mother Shinise Harvey told the St Louis Post-Dispatch: “It was not a murder case, nor was it a suicide. It was just an accident“. She also added that although they had not seen the video, relatives said the children had guns in their hands and tried to appear knowledgeable about it.
Two children died leaving the family heartbroken.
Grandmother Susan Dyson of Paris, who saw the video, said: “They never argued or argued. The two kids were just playing with the gun in their hands and it was clearly not the right thing to do. It all happened by accident“. Susan shared that because they lived together since childhood, they were as close as siblings.
The families of the two children believe that both shots were unintentional. Paris’s mother said: “No matter how well raised they are, children still like to take risks“.
Currently, the local police are still continuing to investigate the incident and have yet to come to any definitive conclusions. In a statement on Facebook, the police here offered their condolences to the family: “Our sincere condolences to the family of 12-year-old Paris Harvey and 14-year-old Kuaron Harvey, who tragically passed away on March 25, 2022.“.
A page called GoFundMe has been set up to raise money for funeral expenses for Paris and Kuaron. Meanwhile, a part of public opinion believes that the root cause of the tragedy is that parents are subjective in allowing dangerous items such as guns to appear around children. Because of curiosity and love to show, the children had to receive tragic results.
