We have met all the top teams in Asia and the results show that there is still a gap in class. Attending a major tournament for the first time and meeting all strong opponents, Vietnamese players are all eager to show off to really get out of the Southeast Asian region and become more mature.

Mr. Park and his assistant have worked in Vietnam for a long time. We’ve faced each other before. I know they won’t give up easily. Like the match against Australia, whatever the outcome, I want to play with a high standard. The players have to play at their best. We are confident that we have great players. Vietnam is a good team, as we saw last November. They played well defensively, enthusiastically competed for the ball and counter-attacked quickly.

It’s definitely not a procedural match. We will try to win. We are under pressure. Before the qualifiers, we expected to make it through easily, but things didn’t work out like that. Now that we have passed the qualifying round, we are still ready and prepared for the match against Vietnam.

During the epidemic, qualifying matches became difficult. At home, we have very strict rules for our fans. They are not allowed to shout while cheering for the team, so this is a difficult time.
