According to scientists, this is an optical phenomenon, caused by sunlight shining through high-level clouds (at an altitude of 7-8 km). Clouds have a structure of ice crystals, sunlight and moon are refracted, reflected, creating circles.

Like the rainbow, the halo consists of 7 colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, purple, but the color order is arranged in reverse. The halo of the sun or moon is often a sign of impending rain. However, some halos are merely a signal of increased water in the upper atmosphere.

Halos around the moon are usually more frequent, while sun halos are very rare and are considered interesting weather phenomena.

Two years ago, aura appeared in Ho Chi Minh City and Southern provinces. Last year, the sun was seen in the ancient capital of Hue.
