It’s not unusual for an anime villain to become a good person. After fighting the main characters, they are often shown new worldviews or develop a respect for life that they did not have before. Sometimes, they just want to honor the heroes by following or helping along the way. However, there are many cases where anime villains turn their cars into good people for extremely confusing and unconvincing reasons.

10. Speedwagon in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure

Robert EO Speedwagon was once a famous criminal living on the streets of London before meeting Jonathan Joestar. On the fateful day that the two met, Speedwagon attempted to attack Jonathan, who seemed out of place in the rigors of London. However, Jonathan easily defeated the Speedwagon and showed the criminal the light.

Jonathan inspires Speedwagon to be a good person, although this is not surprising. However, the way Speedwagon admires Jonathan as well as the way Speedwagon retells the fight between Jonathan and DIO is ridiculous.

9. Gentle Criminal in My Hero Academia

Gentle Criminal is a villain with likes and views on social media, He refuses to be a hero, even though owning Quirk is quite interesting. Because he refused to be a hero, he became a villain. Gentle Criminal still has a lot of merit, though, and much of his cruelty is directed toward fame, which is why he’s targeting UA’s school festival.

When Deku found out about this, he tried to stop Gentle Criminal, and after many encounters and talks, Gentle Criminal agreed to return to the school festival. He’s not the typical villain, he still has a hero part inside him. Gentle Criminal acted in a better way so as not to ruin the fun student festival.

8. Satan in The Devil is a Part-Timer!

Anime isekai The Devil is a Part-Timer! answers the question of what Satan would do if he had to feed himself. Satan, the main character of the story, used to be a villain. However, he ends up having to become friends with an old enemy and finds himself forced to sell goods part-time in modern Japan.

Although his deeds are not out of kindness, the situation forces him to return his salary in order to earn money and survive in the modern world. Of course, for Satan, there is no more promising profession than service.

7. Orochimaru in Naruto

Theoretically, Orochimaru joined the “front” side when he helped Naruto and the rest of the village fight the destruction of the world during the Fourth Great Ninja War. However, he didn’t show any signs of being a good person until Mitsuki thought about it.

Orochimaru has had a lot of experimentation, but in Boruto, he seems to have a special attachment to Mitsuki in a way very similar to his parents, something that is hard to believe in someone like Orochimaru. In this new series, Orochimaru is almost sympathetic, even making fans almost forget about Orochimaru’s past crimes.

6. Yato in Noragami

Yato was once a god of disaster, destruction, and violence, even when he was controlled by his father. However, he was released from that control and was able to open a new path for himself. Unfortunately, this made him a lowly, disconnected god.

Thus, Yato started going around town answering random prayers and hoping to secure him a few yen. He seemed happy to do so, when he met Hiyori and Yukine, he wanted the world to be better so he acted more. Though it was only a good thing by his own definition and circumstances.
