The Wall Street Journal reported that Abramovich had symptoms of loss of vision for several hours, red eyes, constant tears, and peeling skin on his hands and face.

At the end of the meeting held on March 3 in Kiev, Abramovich and two senior members of the Ukrainian side showed serious symptoms. The other one was not sick, even though they had the same food and drink.

The Guardian further revealed that the Russian billionaire acted as a “middleman” to connect with the purpose of ending the Russia-Ukraine war as soon as possible.

Abramovich’s representative confirmed to the BBC that he had symptoms of suspected poisoning and was treated in Turkey. The current state of health of the Russian-born billionaire has improved.

The investigative news site Bellingcat said the dose and type of toxin used were “not likely” to be life-threatening.

The theory is that the attack with chemical weapons is of a menacing nature.

Bellingcat further revealed that they knew about the poisoning for a long time but decided not to make the information public “due to concerns about the safety of the victims”.

When asked about the case, the spokesman for the Ukrainian delegation, Mykhailo Podolyak, only said: “There are many speculations and different conspiracy theories.”

Before that, billionaire Roman Abramovich was punished by the British government, stripped of all powers and blocked the Chelsea club account, causing the London team to fall into turmoil.
