Billionaire Roman Abramovich peeling skin, pain, temporary blindness after being poisoned

The WSJ reported that billionaire Roman Abramovich and Ukrainian peace negotiators developed symptoms of suspected poisoning after a meeting in Kiev earlier this month. Accordingly, Mr. Abramovich, Ukrainian legislator Rustem Umerov and some others have symptoms such as red eyes, constant watery eyes, pain, peeling skin on the face and hands, and even temporary blindness.

According to WSJ sources, billionaire Abramovich flew to Istanbul, Turkey for treatment. It is not clear who is behind the poisoning. Now all the victims involved in the incident have recovered, and billionaire Abramovich is expected to continue efforts for peaceful reconciliation.

Abramovich is currently stuck in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Earlier this month, the owner of Chelsea club was ordered by the British government to sanction.

Abramovich was given an “asset freeze, a ban from dealings with individuals and businesses in the UK, a travel ban and a transportation ban”. There are currently many open questions about whether he can sell the club due to the restrictions being followed.

The Government has granted Chelsea a special license to allow fixtures, paid staff and ticket holders to attend matches. It is unclear whether the license covers only the first team or all of Chelsea’s teams, including the women’s and youth teams.

Nadine Dorries, England’s Minister for Sport and Culture tweeted: “I know this brings some uncertainty, but the Government will work with the federation and clubs to keep football running. run as normal while ensuring sanctions are aimed at those purposes. Football clubs are the cultural asset and foundation of our communities. We are committed to protecting the club.” .

A government statement said: “Given the significant impact that today’s sanctions will have on Chelsea football club and the potential impact of this, this morning the Government has announced a license allows certain football-related activities to continue at Chelsea”.

After Britain, Canada imposed sanctions on five Russian individuals, including billionaire Roman Abramovich, and banned 32 Russian companies and government organizations from receiving defense equipment or supplies from the country. Individuals on the sanctions list will have their assets frozen and banned from doing business in Canada.

Prime Minister Justine Trudeau said the Canadian operations of steelmaker Evraz – where Abramovich is the largest shareholder – would not be affected by the move.

“Sanctions against Russian officials and oligarchs like Abramovich are meant to keep them from benefiting from economic activities in Canada or the hard work of Canadians working in the companies they invest in. fourth,” Mr. Trudeau said.
