Breaking a large-scale counterfeiting of seals and diplomas in Ba Ria – Vung Tau

The police agency of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province today (March 28) said that it has just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute the accused against 7 subjects to investigate related to the case of child counterfeiting. seals and papers of State agencies and organizations.

The subjects prosecuted include: Nguyen Thai Trong (41 years old); Pham Thanh Linh (31 years old); Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy (31 years old); Nguyen Thi Mai (27 years old); Nguyen Thi Xim (40 years old); Nguyen Thi Xuan and Nguyen Thi Thu, both reside in Phu My town, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.

In which, 5 defendants, Trong, Linh, Thuy, Xim and Thu, were arrested and detained.

According to the initial investigation, on March 20, through the monitoring process, the working group including the Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department, the Police Department of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province Police Department coordinated with the Police Phu My town simultaneously checked and detected those who were engaged in production and sale of fake diplomas, certificates and documents of agencies and organizations on a large scale.

Conducting a search of the workplace and residence of the subjects, the working group discovered and made a record to seize many fake seals and seals of the authorities in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province such as: : Police of My Xuan ward, Department of Health, Medical Center of Phu My town with nearly 400 fake health certificates; diplomas and certificates of universities and colleges; papers and dossiers of registration for the driving test; title tags… and many tools used by the subjects to make fake papers.

Through struggle and exploitation, the subjects admitted to committing crimes.

The case is currently being investigated and handled by the investigative agency.
