ITL promotes cold supply chain of hundreds of billion dong in Da Nang

In Do Tran Logistics and Transport Group (ITL) officially started construction of the ITL Logistics Da Nang Logistics Center in the expanded Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Hoa Lien Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City.

The new center has a total investment of 200 billion VND, built on a land fund of more than 31,000 m2. In which, the goods storage area and office occupies more than 18,660 m2, cold storage 5,200 m2 with a capacity of more than 10,000 pallets in phase I. The rest is for the green campus and parking lot, expected to be completed. end of 2022.

When construction is completed, the center will provide complex services, distribution warehouse, e-commerce warehouse, cold storage and multimodal transportation. Frozen warehouse is the most concentrated with 6 rooms corresponding to 6 temperature levels, serving each type of item separately (pharmaceuticals, food, ice cream, fruit, e-commerce goods…), general treatment under one dome.

The project was built by ITL Group according to Grade A standards for quality, applying automatic lifting platform technology at the port of shipment, WMS warehouse management system capable of integrating according to customer requirements, system automatic fire fighting system, surveillance camera system… The center is expected to be one of the leading green distribution centers using modern and sustainable solar energy in the country.

Mr. Alexander Olsen, Vice President of Commercial Division of ITL Group said, the new logistics center will contribute to improving the unit’s transportation capacity in the central region; at the same time anticipate the potential development of the logistics market in Da Nang in the future. In addition to the logistics center, the group also has an office specializing in providing services related to warehouse rental and more than 200 transport trucks in the province.

Although the market size is smaller than Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the potential for logistics development in Da Nang is no less competitive thanks to the increasing demand for quality goods by the local middle class. With 10,000 pallets of temperature-controlled cold storage, supermarkets and restaurants can store ice cream, frozen meat… directly, ensuring quality instead of having to transport it from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, the cold supply chain also helps to increase the ability to distribute seafood, medicine… from Da Nang to other neighboring provinces and cities faster.

On the other hand, the cold storage system is also developed by ITL in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi with an expected capacity of more than 50,000 pallets in the period 2022-2023, aiming to become one of the cold storage service providers. leading in Vietnam.

Located between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang is oriented to become the logistics service supply chain center of the Central region and the whole country. Planning to develop logistics infrastructure in Da Nang to 2030 with a total capital of more than VND 13,695 billion on 312 hectares. The city aims to meet 35% for the flow of goods through seaports, 20% through airports and railways… With a large-scale logistics center, ITL hopes to meet the future needs of the market.
