The price of land in rural areas is much lower than in urban areas, only a few million VND/m2 in many places; However, in some land use right auction projects in recent times, residential land prices have been recorded up to 30 million VND/m2.

Low-income apartment houses are currently being sold by investors for about 10-12 million VND/m2, rented for 60-80 thousand VND/m2, suitable for the income of the majority of workers. , employees, low-income people and other groups of subjects as prescribed in Article 49 of the Law on Housing.

The price of commercial apartments is currently trading with prices ranging from 15 million VND/m2 to 30 million VND/m2 depending on the project.

Situation of social housing in Bac Ninh

According to statistics of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, by the end of 2020, Bac Ninh province employs 308,744 domestic workers and 5,902 foreign workers in 10 industrial parks.

Currently, the type of housing for workers in industrial zones, built and managed by the people themselves, is a popular type in the province. However, the quality of life in hostels is still limited, especially in terms of social infrastructure and environmental sanitation, which are difficult to meet the requirements of fire prevention and control. epidemics, lack of cultural institutions, leading to unsatisfactory lives of workers.

In the coming period, Bac Ninh province will pay attention to and focus on developing a type of residential housing for concentrated workers according to the project with an appropriate scale, with full cultural institutions, social and infrastructure facilities. techniques, meeting the requirements of the material and spiritual life of workers.

Up to now, the province has 37 social housing projects that have been implemented and are being implemented with a total land area of ​​120.85 ha, a total floor area of ​​3,310,247 m2 with 38,842 apartments, meeting accommodation needs. for 168,719 people. Currently, there are 11 completed projects, 7 partially completed projects; the total completed area is 891,713 m2, equivalent to 8,320 apartments, meeting the housing needs for 32,955 people.

The provincial Department of Planning and Investment said that, in general, the housing development targets in Bac Ninh province achieved and exceeded many targets compared to the national goals such as: the social housing development program achieved many important results. important; Housing under the target program met and exceeded the progress according to the national target program. However, the development of social housing, especially worker housing, has not yet achieved the set target due to the slower progress of worker housing projects than planned.
