Launching online life skills training program for young people

The Singapore International Foundation (SIF) has officially launched an online volunteering program called DigiLABS to help equip young people in Asia with the necessary skills to integrate into the digital economy and promote social innovation. as well as changes in communities through digital solutions.

The program will be implemented every year for the next 4 years, and each year, 600 students will participate and choose one of the four courses themselves – Data Science, Digital Marketing (Data Science), Digital Marketing (Data Science), Digital Marketing (Digital Marketing) Digital Marketing), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cybersecurity. Learners will spend 8 weeks learning the basic modules (Data Science, Digital Marketing); and 6 weeks for advanced modules (Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity), thereby capturing the digital skills they desire to acquire.

SIF Executive Director, Ms. Jean Tan said, DigiLABS is a program dedicated to young people who are incubating projects that create social impact in the region.

“The program is designed to raise the digital literacy of young people and foster a sense of responsibility and future ownership. The program also marks SIF’s growth in the field of digital volunteering. culture, an attempt to navigate our new normal in terms of international cooperation for development,” added Ms. Jean Tan.
