One time oiling a truck costs $1,200

In the United States, gasoline prices rose consecutively to record levels. In some states, it can cost $100 to fill an SUV’s 79-liter gas tank. Meanwhile, oil prices also hit records, tending to be more expensive than gasoline.

The latest weekly data from the US Government’s Office of Energy Information (EIA) shows an average oil price of $5.19 per gallon (3.785 liters).

With the above truck driver, more than 236 gallons of oil helped him to travel about 2,414 km, or about 44 liters / 100 km consumption. This distance is equivalent to three working days. That means weekly fuel bills don’t stop at just over $1,200. In fact, the fuel tank of a trailer can hold 454-568 liters. Many cars often have up to two fuel tanks, ie a maximum of 1,136 liters.

A record increase in fuel prices means higher transportation costs, leading to higher fees for services and goods.
