Samsung’s huge 200MP camera sensor revealed
Samsung first mentioned a 200MP smartphone camera sensor last year, but hasn’t revealed any information since then. It seems that this giant camera sensor will finally be released in 2022, but not on a Samsung or Xiaomi smartphone, but on a Motorola smartphone.
The first image of the 200MP camera on a mysterious Motorola smartphone has just been leaked. This is most likely the flagship smartphone Motorola Frontier. The image confirms that Motorola’s smartphone is equipped with Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor.
Just looking at the size of this camera, you can see how large the sensor is. It can be seen that this is the largest camera on a smartphone ever. The camera cluster also confirms additional parameters such as optical stabilization and f/2.2 lens aperture.
Although the Motorola Frontier will likely be the first smartphone equipped with Samsung’s 200MP camera sensor, that does not mean that Samsung and Xiaomi will not use this sensor on their upcoming smartphones.
However, whether this 200MP sensor will appear on Samsung’s flagship smartphones like the Galaxy S23 or Galaxy Z Fold 4, we still can’t be sure.
