Police investigated last week and found the young man crouching next to the girl’s car. According to police, this person at some point wrapped his Apple Watch around the wheel and used the watch as a tracking tool. When confronted by the police, he admitted the Apple Watch was his. The young man has been accused of attaching an electronic tracking device to someone else’s car.
According to Gizmodo, this is the first time that the Apple Watch has been used to track other people. Before that, AirTag has become an illegal tracking tool many times. With a cheap price (30 USD) and compact, AirTag will clearly be preferred by bad guys, instead of using the Apple Watch which is both larger and expensive ($200-400).
