The Central region is about to rain heavily

From March 30 to April 2, the Central Coast and Central Highlands rained heavily, in which five provinces from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai spread 200-300 mm, some places over 400 mm.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the low pressure trough of 5-8 degrees is moving to the north, on this trench it is likely to form a low pressure area that gradually moves towards the mainland of Vietnam. Circulation of the low pressure area combined with increased cold air causes heavy rain for the above area.

Specifically, Nghe An rained from March 31 to April 2 with a total amount of 50-100 mm, in some places over 150 mm. Ha Tinh and Quang Binh rain 150-250 mm, in some places over 400 mm.

Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue began to rain from April 1 with a common amount of 200-300 mm, in some places over 400 mm. Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai have the heaviest rain of 200-350 mm, in some places over 400 mm.

Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Central Highlands rain from March 30 to April 2 with the amount of 100-150 mm, in some places over 200 mm. Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan rain less, common 50-100 mm, some places over 100 mm.

According to the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, this is an unseasonal heavy rain, similar in shape and likelihood to the end of March 2015. During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail, strong winds may appear, the risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and local flooding in low-lying and low-lying areas along rivers.

The Standing Office of the Steering Committee has asked localities to actively review residential areas along rivers, streams and low-lying areas to relocate people; to cut people and vehicles at key traffic points, protect agricultural production.

From March 24 to 28, 2015, the provinces from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai rain heavily, 150-300 mm, especially Quang Nam – Quang Ngai 300-500 mm. Flooding of rivers from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai increased rapidly, alarming level 1. Particularly at Song Ve station on Ve river in Quang Ngai, an alarming flood appeared 3.
