In the southern part of Izyum in the Kharkov region, the Army Ukraine was driven back to the Sukha Kam’yanka River. This was announced by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army in a summary report – published just a day after declaring “the Ukrainian side continues to control Izyum”.
From Sukha Kam’yanka to the northern boundary of the Donetsk region – just a few kilometers.
Most likely the Ukrainian Army ordered the units that were knocked out of Izyum to merge with reinforcements from Slavyansk and try to stop the advance of Russian forces on the boundary of the two regions – at the Dolina line – Dolgenkoe.

However events south of Izyum are developing more and more rapidly and beyond Kiev’s expectations. It seems that the group of Ukrainian troops withdrawn from Izyum could not regroup to connect with reinforcements from Slavyansk.
To prevent Ukrainian forces from other parts of Kharkov from coming to support this group, the Russian army continued the blockade in the direction of Barvenkovo.
Russian forces also defeated the retreating Ukrainian troops in the area of Dolgenkoye village, and then – with a series of attacks that broke the enemy’s “second squad” along the Krasnopolye-Dolina line – about 25 kilometers from Izyum km about Slavyansk.
The breakthrough of the defense line near the Dolina residential area led to the fact that the remnants of the Ukrainian army from Izyum had to move further – to move along the northwestern region of the Donetks.
The Russian advance so far is about 4 km, and the Ukrainian army in this area, as they say, is trying to gain a foothold south of the village of Krestishche.
This place is less than 5 km from the northern suburbs of Slavyansk.
