Two ward leaders were dismissed for ‘to divide plots and sell plots’
Dak LakMs. Nguyen Thi Loan, Chairwoman of Thanh Nhat Ward People’s Committee and her deputy were dismissed due to lack of responsibility in directing the management of land use.
The decision to discipline Ms. Loan and Mr. Vu Tien Thanh, vice chairmen of the ward was made by the People’s Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City on the morning of March 29.
Two people were dismissed (from April 1st) because there were many cases of illegal construction of houses on agricultural land; arbitrarily paved roads, divided plots into many small and odd parcels of land, leading to the formation of residential areas on agricultural land…
In addition, Mr. Thanh recently failed to properly perform his assigned duties and powers, so that there were 60 cases of building houses on agricultural land.
According to the Disciplinary Council, the violations committed by the leaders of Thanh Nhat ward “caused especially serious consequences, causing public anger among officials and people…”.
