Children from 10 years old are allowed to drive super cars

TrackDays, a company specializing in providing racing experiences in the UK and Europe, announced that a pair of supercars will be featured in this year’s Junior Driver programme. Accordingly, children aged 10-17 in the UK have the opportunity to hold the wheel of a Ferrari or Lamborghini even without a driver’s license.

The show is part of the Junior Platinum Supercar experience. Teens can drive the supercar for up to 9.6 km around a track, and will be closely supervised by an adult.
To be able to participate in this special experience, TrackDays customers also have to invest a lot. Tickets will start at $103 and the event will take place at 10 locations in the UK over this year’s Easter holiday (mid-April).
In previous years, the event was only for children aged 15 years old, but changed to 10-17 years old from 2021. When participating, young drivers are taught the basics of driving a car, with skills such as accelerating, steering, braking and shifting gears.
Ferrari 458 Italia supercar is equipped with a 3.9-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 670 horsepower, while Lamborghini Gallardo LP570 with a 5.2-liter V10 engine for a capacity of 562 horsepower. Both can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in less than 4 seconds and have a top speed of 325 km / h.
