With the brokerage profession, Mr. Dinh said that the law still needs to be amended to be more suitable, an information technology system is needed to manage by identifiers. Mr. Pham Lam, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association said that there are about 300,000 people working as brokers. On average, both primary and secondary markets have over 100,000 transactions per year. In some localities even a few thousand transactions a month.

Most of the experts and businesses participating in the seminar appreciated the important role of the broker. However, experts also admit that besides legitimate brokers, the phenomenon of “worms that upset the soup pot” is still there.

“Not everyone in 300,000 brokers has enough qualifications, knows the profession or understands the law. Currently, the size and number of brokers have increased, but the actual quality is not really good. Vocational training is only It is anti-regulatory. It’s time to have clear regulations on individual or institutional brokers.” Mr. Lam assessed.

Experts say that real estate brokers serve the vast majority of people, successful transactions are not only a story of buying and selling but also of stabilizing a person’s life. Therefore, it is necessary to quickly build a legal, supervisory and sanctioned corridor, aiming for a transparent market and professionalism of brokers, whether individuals or organizations.
