Gasoline price decreased by more than 1,000 VND/liter from 0:00 on April 1

On the evening of March 31, the Inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade – Finance decided to adjust the retail price of gasoline, applied from 0:00 on April 1.

Accordingly, the price of E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 1,021 VND/liter, priced at 27,309 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline decreased by 1,039 VND / liter, with a selling price not higher than 28,153 VND / liter.

Meanwhile, diesel oil increased by 1,447 VND/liter, priced at 25,080 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 1,519 dong/liter, priced at 23,764 dong/liter and fuel oil was priced at 20,929 dong/kg after increasing by 506 dong/kg compared to the current price.

Gasoline prices will be reduced from 00:00 on April 1

This is a rather special operating period when it is carried out at night and applied right from 0:00, instead of 15 hours like normal operating periods. This is also the time when the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the reduction of environmental protection tax on petrol and oil takes effect.

At this operating period, the Inter-Ministry of Finance set up a petrol and oil price stabilization fund for E5RON92 gasoline at 250 VND/liter, RON95 gasoline at 200 VND/liter, and diesel oil at 100 VND/liter. At the same time, spending money for kerosene products is at 500 VND/liter and not spending money for other petroleum products.

According to data of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world petroleum market continues to be complicated, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to affect the supply of petroleum to the market. Meanwhile, with less optimistic information about global economic growth, gasoline demand has tended to decrease in recent days, causing gasoline prices on the world market to fluctuate, but the general trend is not positive. is increase.

In this operating period, the environmental protection tax on gasoline has been reduced according to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee. However, due to the high increase in world gasoline prices, especially oil prices, the Inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade – Finance has used a combination of petroleum stabilization fund tools at a reasonable level to reduce gasoline prices and limit fuel consumption. increase in oil prices relative to the increase in world prices.

According to the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, from April 1 to the end of 2022, the environmental protection tax on gasoline will be reduced from 4,000 VND/liter to 2,000 VND/liter. Diesel, fuel oil and lubricants will be reduced from 2,000 VND/liter to 1,000 VND/liter. Grease reduced from 2,000 VND/kg to 1,000 VND/kg; Kerosene fell from 1,000 VND/liter to a floor level of 300 VND/liter.
